Close Up and Stand Up Magic

Last friday I perfomed my Mentalism Show called ‘Reality Vaccine’ at the SouthStreet Theatre. You can see the the showreel to this on the Home page of my website. There was a great turnout of spectators who were enthusiastic. Often folks think that because I perform shows, I don’t perform Close Up magic, or vice versa. Well, this is what makes magicians so versatile, it’s not always the case, but often enough magicians can do both. It’s more of a preference thing. I know one or two magicians who wouldn’t care to do a stand up piece, I guess because it can be quite intimidating up on stage in front of large numbers of people!
I will often perform some close up magic at a private or Corporate entertainment event either mixing with the crowd during a drinks reception or Magic at the tables , and then follow it up with a Stand Up piece.

Sometimes I will get booked to perform with several other acts as well , such as a recent event in Walton-On-Thames where there weas a very good Michael Buble tribute act as well as the delicious Abba tribute act called Honey Honey.
