Magical Wedding Ideas

Often folks are looking for Wedding ideas that are novel. One way to really make your special day sparkle is with a good magician. I say good magician as there are some that arn’t. So you may have to spend a little more for one who is a member of the Magic Circle, and who has experience with entertaining, and perhaps who has all round skills Entertaining close up magic for adults as well as children and perhaps who is able to do cabaret stand up performances too.

When you think that the magician will be performing personally to every member of your party, it is well worth the investment because magical entertainment is what many people remember for a long time afterwards.

I recently performed as a table magician at Gill and Brians wedding at Taplow House in Buckinghamshire. The picture of Gill and Brian was taken by the talented photographer Mark Sisley who has a unique ability to time his photos perfectly.

There were a mixture of age groups. At every wedding there are also some children so I always have something (literally!) up my sleeve for them. It was a wonderful day and they sent me an email the following week: ‘Thank you very much for being our magicial magician. Everybody loved it and they all said how great you were’.

Birthday Party Ideas

Here are some Magical birthday party ideas . Remember that if you put  a start time for the party, some punctual folks will be there on time, some even before. Which is ideal to be prepared for that. Maybe have someone ready to go with the welcoming and the drinks. Nothing worse than early guests having to sit around wondering what to do. Which is why having a Magician at your reception is a brillaint idea because they can engage your guests as they arrive and ease them into the party by giving them something to chat about, and gives you, the host, time to do the all important last minute panic preparations.

You may also want to theme a party, have folks dressing up is always fun. Of course the magician can do that too, but please remember that we  may have tailored jackets woth extra pocket space so we can carry material around with us. I once had to be Obi-Wan-Kenobi from Star Wars!

Wedding Ideas? Wedding Fayre at The Compleat Angler

Wedding Ideas? You can get plenty of Wedding entertainment ideas when planning a wedding from aWwedding Fayre, just like the one I attended yesterday at the Compleat Angler in Marlow.

There were loads of booths steaming with wedding ideas from photographers, wedding rings to wedding entertainment, such as myself.

I often am asked whether a wedding should have entertainment at the wedding reception or Table entertainment with the meal, or both. For me it is a matter of preference,  although I do feel that at the wedding reception, just after the ceremony, many folks will be introduced to each other for the first time, will be having their first drink, and very likely photographs will be taking place, and therefore this is a prime  time for wedding entertainment. Once the meal takes place, usually folks have had a glass or two to drink, are settled and happy with each others company. However there are always lulls in conversation particualarly inbetween the meals, and it is at moments like this when having a Close up magician is a great wedding entertainment idea, where I will involve everyone, providing fun and visually stunning magic with something to talk about afterwards.

Little Missenden

It certainly is interesting where magicians get sent to perform. It makes it a rather fascinating part of our jobs. So the previous celebration was at a shooting club, and this pic on the right is in Little Missenden where Terry invited me to perform magic at his wife’s 60th birthday party. It was at his home, and Terry collects vintage cars, and many of his friends owned such cars. Terry also has a massive back garden where I did some Table hopping magic for all his guests.

Wedding at Lane End Conference Centre

I am a professional Buckinghamshire Wedding Magician. Well, in fact I travel all over the country including Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, London and Berkshire, but today’s blog specifically deals with a wedding I performed earlier this year in Lane End-Buckinghamshire.

It was for a delightful couple, Will and Robyn who wanted me to perform Magic whilst strolling amongst guests at the reception. This is an ideal for entertainment as photographs are taking place and people are being introduced to eachother for the first time.

It was held at the wonderful Lane End Conference Centre, which has beautiful scenery surrounding the banquet area. I have performed a  number of times a this venue and it is always first class service. This is also pretty close to where I live, which is a pleasure because we sometimes have to travel far and wide to entertain.
