Private Garden Party in Milton Keynes

Have you ever wonderered about hiring a Magician as your Corporate or Private party Entertainer ? Private parties come in all different shapes and sizes. Venues may vary from a private home to a hotel suite, and reasons vary from charitable events to just a good old knees up! Take for example  Entertaining at a garden party that I was hired for this past weekend. It was held in the most picturesque village of Singlesborough in Milton Keynes. Jo wanted to hold a party for all her friends and neighbours, so she held it in a marquee in their garden behind their stunning house seen in the picture. It really is a picture postcard house. The weather was georgeous and Jo had a band playing as well, so the guests were in for a good time.

So what do we magicians do? Well in this case, as everyone was mixing with eachother, I was a Mix and Mingling magician at this event, sometimes called a Strolling magician as well.

Jo very kindly wrote to me this week saying, ‘Many thanks Ian. I had fantastic feed back from my guests about you. I know a few guests will be touch with you their own events.’

Darren contacted me later the following week saying, ‘Thanks Ian, you went down really extremely well thank you. We raised three thousand pounds in total which is excellant’.

The Bellhouse in Gerrards Cross

I have chosen these two areas as there are two lovely venues in that area at which I have performed magic.

I did table magic for Alex Dunlop’s wife Michelle’s 40th birthday party at the Bellhouse Hotel in Beaconsfield. I enjoy performing Magic at birthday celebrations as everyone is in good spirits and keen to have a good time. I know Alex’s mom must have been enjoying the magic as she said after seeing one of the tricks, ‘Oh pooh…how did you do that, do another one’.

Just up the road is the Bull Hotel, which although so close to the Belhouse, is in Gerrards Cross. I come from Marlow so both are very close by. Just last weekend I was asked by Helen Compton to perform some magic at her daughter’s Bat Mitzvah.

The girls were so well behaved and engrossed in the magic that I had a super time. I was even served a delicious meal by the hotel..now I really enjoy gigs like this! Helen emailed later in the week saying, ‘I wanted to say how much we all enjoyed your magic, old and young.  It made a real difference to the celebration. Than you so much’. It was my pleasure.
