Magic in Marlow

Olympic magic with Sir Steve Regrave in Marlow Bottom

I mentioned before that is a pleasure to perform close to home, and I had the good fortune being booked to perform Close Up magic in Marlow Bottom, the home of Olympic winner Sir Steve and Lady Ann Redgrave.
Ann booked me to perform for their daughter Natalie’s 21st.
We havn’t had much luck with the weather, and although in the picture, it looks pretty clear, it didn’t last for long and we gathered later in a marquee pitched on the basketball court.
Ann and Steve are lovely folks and were very welcoming. It is a bit intimidating having a legend such as Sir Steve watching your magical performance, however he is very laid back and had a greast sense of humour, so I had nothing to worry about.
It’s funny as I have recently had a string of 21st birthday party events to perform for. They have all been very different, from the raucous drinking ones, to the more sedate and quiet ones with just close friends and family. I was booked only as a Strolling magician at this event, so I didn’t see the after party, however there were lots of very well behaved and well educated young folk who really enjoyed engaging in the Magical entertainment.

Natalie, like her dad, plays sport, but it isn’t rowing. She’s a netball player, which probably means I was wrong about the basketball court earlier, it’s more likely for netball!
Magic is great for celebrations like 21st birthday bashes. When we are young, we have many friends and aquaintances, but as you get older, you are more likely to have a few close friends. So when numbers are large and there is likely to be many folks who don’t know eachother, then magic is a wonderful way to break  the ice and introduce  people to each other.
Get in touch today for more information on how I can make your party extra special.
