Mentalism Show in Camden
Tuesday, August 23rd, 2011Last year I took my Mentalism show, Reality Vaccine, to the Edinburgh Fringe. This year, it was the Camden Fringe, which has been going for about 5 years. It is held at a number of theatres and I performed at the quaint Etcetera Theatre, which interestingly is where my show was first tried and tested on the public over 2 years ago. A lot has changed since then.
The show had some amazing reviews from the Fringe this year:
‘Walk through the door into a very different way of thinking. Souch manages to access ordinary thoughts and ideas to create a thoroughly enjoyable and impressive show…it’s a must see!’ onthefringepaper Camden Fringe review
‘Souch is a clever man playing with our memory and preconceptions’. snipelondon Camden Fringe review
The last night of the show, my technician and myself were ushered out of the theatre hastily by staff. The pub downstairs had been closed, as had all shops, theatres and pubs in the rest of Camden. As we exited into camden High Street, we were met by a wave of riot police swiftly helping us load and move on out!
At least their presence meant our car would not be looted, but what would a looter want with a mentalists props – show the police a trick!
I often peform my show, or part of it to Private parties and Corporate events, so if your looking for something different for your event, then Contact me now.
The next London performance of Reality Vaccine will be held the 17th and 18th of November 2011 at the Hen and Chickens Theatre in Islington. To book call 02077042001.
